Last week five Cary youths, Erin Wilser, Jordyn Wingard, Alec Patsy and brothers Robert and Shane Stanley, attended Coble Water Ski & Wakeboard Camp near Lillington, along with instructor Meghan Kelly of Apex.

Wilser and Wingard were working on their slalom techniques while the three boys were working on their wakeboard techniques. Kelly is a wakeboard instructor.

The camp is located four miles outside of Lillington and is owned by Gary and Shirley Coble. The facility consists of five lakes that are old spring-fed rock quarries.

The Cobles, along with daughters Valerie and April Coble Eller and April’s husband Chris Eller, run the camp.

Valerie, April and Chris are all state or national champions. For information on the ski camp visit cobleskischool.com.
